Room & Co.
A small Irish group building places to stay, eat and drink that belong to the streets they stand on.
Two hotels are in build in Dublin: a new brick building on Bolton Street in the Georgian north city, and the refurbishment of a 1960s concrete tower in the village of Phibsborough. Alongside them we are developing student housing — and we run our own ground floors rather than letting them out, which means cafés, a bar, a restaurant and a food hall.
Different buildings, different uses, one brief: answer to the street you are standing on, buy from the people around the corner, and make the ground floor something the neighbourhood will actually use.
The rest is detail, and the detail is the job — a bed you sleep properly in, a light that reaches the page, a room that stays quiet when the city does not, and a counter you are happy to stand at on your own.

Each hotel carries its own name and its own character — The Bolton is not The Phizz, and neither is trying to be. What they share is a standard: the same care taken over a key fob as over a facade, the same welcome at the desk, the same insistence that the ground floor belongs to the street.

Careers
Good company
cuts both ways.
We are hiring the founding teams for both hotels — front of house, kitchen, bar, housekeeping and management.
Hospitality has a reputation for chewing people up, and it has earned it. We are trying to run the other kind of house: proper rotas published in advance, tips distributed fairly and transparently, training that leads somewhere, and managers who were on the floor last week.
We hire from the neighbourhoods we open in wherever we can. No experience is required for several of these roles — attitude and attention are harder to teach than service.
